Wyoming Busted Mugshots
Wyoming is Kent County's second-largest city. The 2020 Census counted 76,501 residents. Police work here falls to the City of Wyoming Department of Public Safety / Police. Here's the twist, though. A Wyoming officer can make the arrest, and the person still gets booked at the Kent County Correctional Facility. KCCF is the central booking hub for more than 30 agencies across the county. That makes the Kent County Inmate Lookup and its linked jail viewer the natural first stop when someone asks who is in custody right now.
Central booking doesn't own everything, though. The county holds custody and intake details. Wyoming DPS keeps the police report and runs its own public-record process. A viewer result may show descriptive information, charges, and a mugshot image. But the county won't promise every result has a photo or stays posted forever. Write down the arrest date and the arresting agency as you search. KCCF receives people from many departments, and that detail helps you sort them out.
Note: A booking entry only shows what officers reported, and the court decides the case separately.
Where Wyoming Busted Mugshots Appear
Wyoming's official police pages carry no daily arrest roster or public booking-photo feed. The city publishes annual crime statistics and Michigan Incident Crime Reporting/UCR material instead. Those are aggregate tables, not person-level booking data. For a live custody answer, the county's KCCF search is the official channel. For the police report itself, Wyoming Records and FOIA is the city route. News reports and private indexes can help as leads, but only after those official sources.
| Channel | Photo or record | Status | How to use it |
|---|---|---|---|
| KCCF Booking Search | May show public booking data, charges, and an image if configured | Official county source | Use name and booking-date fields for a current or recent custody check. |
| Wyoming DPS Records Unit | City police report and public-record request path | Official city source | Request the Wyoming-held record; charges depend on scope and processing. |
| City of Wyoming News | Selected announcements and city information | Official city source, not a roster | Check an incident announcement without assuming it lists every arrest or image. |
| FOX 17 and WZZM 13 | Story-dependent scene, agency, surveillance, or other images | Local reporting | Find coverage of a notable event, then verify with the underlying department and court. |
| Arrests.org Kent and Mugshots.com Kent | Private dated or historical listings that can show thumbnails | Unofficial and possibly out of date | Use as a lead only. It is not a KCCF service level or current-custody confirmation. |
Arrests.org looks like it offers city navigation for Wyoming, with dated booking views included. Its update pattern is just an observed pattern. It is not a county commitment. Mugshots.com carries older Kent County entries and works as an index, not proof that anyone is currently detained. Neither site controls the city record, the county booking record, or what the court eventually files.
Busted in Wyoming: Check a Booking
Start with KCCF. A Wyoming arrest often gets booked at the county facility. The Kent County record lookup lays out the full county route. For a search focused on Wyoming itself, move from custody status to the city report and then to the court file. No single source gives you the whole record.
- Open KCCF's Booking Search and enter a complete last name. Add a complete first name when known, then use the booking-from and booking-to dates to narrow the result.
- Record the date and time searched, displayed custody status, charge wording, bond or status language, arresting agency, and whether the viewer actually displays an image.
- If there is no public result, call the inmate-information line at 616-632-6300, option 1, when confirmation is important. The facility phone is 616-632-6400.
- For the Wyoming incident record, contact DPS Records or submit a focused FOIA request. For the legal result, check 62A District Court and county court resources.
The county publishes no fixed upload schedule. Same-day, 24-hour, 48-hour, or 72-hour, none is promised. Someone just arrested may not appear right away. A release or transfer can pull a result without warning. VINELink, which the county links from Inmate Lookup, can send notifications where available, but it isn't a booking-photo service, so verify anything it tells you.
Wyoming DPS Records and FOIA
For a police report or any other Wyoming-held public record, the Wyoming Records Unit is the right city office. Walk-in hours run Monday through Thursday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and the department suggests calling ahead about availability. No fixed city booking-photo charge is posted. Fees vary with processing and the scope of a request, so ask for an estimate rather than assuming the KCCF price carries over to a Wyoming DPS request.

2300 DeHoop Avenue SW
Wyoming, MI 49509
Records: 616-530-7314
Patrol / nonemergency: 616-530-7300
Administration: 616-530-7309
Records hours: Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m.
The city's FOIA page names a general city coordinator at 1155 28th Street SW and a DPS-specific coordinator at 2300 DeHoop Avenue SW, plus city-clerk and DPS-records email and fax channels. Be specific in the request. Include the date, the person, the arresting unit, and any report or booking number you know. Say whether you want the police record, a booking photograph, or both. If the item belongs to the jail system instead, KCSO Records is the correct county route.
Wyoming Arrests and 62A Court
A booking record answers who is in custody. A court record answers what happened to the case. Wyoming's 62A District Court Records Search opens public Register of Actions information for criminal, traffic, and civil cases going back to 1990, minus nonpublic matters. The court sits at 2650 DeHoop Avenue SW, Wyoming, Michigan 49509, and the criminal line is 616-257-9814. Searching there can surface later filings, hearings, and outcomes that followed an arrest.
- Booking
- The jail intake event following an arrest or another lawful booking. It can include custody and identification details.
- Bond
- A court-set release condition. A bond amount or release event can change the public custody picture quickly.
- Disposition
- The later court result, such as dismissal, plea, conviction, or another conclusion of the case.
For felony cases, the Kent County Court Clerk and MiCOURT offer a useful cross-check. Court searches have limits, though. They can leave out nonpublic cases or lag behind recent events. The final court disposition, not a booking record or incident announcement, is the word on the case. A private listing does not count either.
Wyoming Busted Mugshots Are Not a Daily Feed
Nobody publishes a day-by-day mugshot feed for Wyoming. Michigan keeps its crime counts as yearly totals through the state police and the Michigan Incident Crime Reporting system. Those numbers never name who was booked. The city news route can publish a specific announcement. A local story may carry a police vehicle image, a scene photo, surveillance still, or an agency-provided image. Each photo belongs to its own story. Treating any of this as a standing public mugshot archive would misread it.
The Kent County Correctional Facility viewer has its own gaps. It serves as the official roster-style system for people booked there. Yet the county offers no full historic feed, no public booking-number field, and no promise that photos get uploaded. The wording is careful. It says the viewer may include mugshot images. A blank thumbnail proves nothing about whether a photo exists. A stale thumbnail on some unrelated private site proves nothing about who is in custody now.
Wyoming's official Public Safety / Police page is the city agency starting point.

Wyoming Booking Record Owners
Send your request to the office that actually holds the record. KCCF and the sheriff's office run the county booking and inmate-record path. Wyoming DPS holds the original city police report. Courts and clerks hold judicial filings and case outcomes. A correction request works best when it names the exact field believed to be wrong. It should go first to the office responsible for that field and include solid supporting paperwork.
Michigan's public-record rules allow access. Still, exemptions, redactions, and fees can apply. A public KCCF result does not open every connected intake field. Juvenile material, protected information, and other nonpublic records may be withheld. When a case ends or a charge changes, keep the court outcome as its own court document. Do not swap it in for the original arrest record. That preserves an accurate source history.
Wyoming's Records Unit page identifies the official city records channel.

Crime Coverage in Wyoming
Coverage of Wyoming incidents shows up in the city news feed, in county sheriff announcements, and in regional reporting. That reporting comes from FOX 17, WZZM 13, WOOD TV8, and MLive / Grand Rapids Press. These outlets run stories as events get reported. They are not a complete booking list. A picture attached to a story might show a scene, a vehicle, an official, or an agency release rather than a booking photo.
Start with an official announcement. Then follow it to the agency, the county custody search, and the court file. Private county indexes can help track down an older listing, though their accuracy and freshness carry no guarantee. Crime News & Mugshots lays out the broader Kent County media-source boundary.
